The Venus Project definitely is to be commended on their wonderful new website. It’s nice to see momentum happening in the absence of Jaque Fresco.
Kudos to everyone who put it together. It’s beautiful.
Now, some of my readers are expecting me to fly next into a bunch of criticism. But I’m not going to do that.
I’m using my appreciation of TVP’s new website as a backdrop or reflection upon what appears to be a lack of progress on our part. As someone in our social group recently mentioned:
We too are working on a new website. It is part of a massive review of what we’re doing, specifically focused on the how and our desired outcomes. We’re about implementation. Not advocacy. As such, we need to be much more deliberate about our approach. We are striving to be outside of the box. A new website alone is not that. Nor is focusing on a democratic approach.

I’ve heard even the current TVP leader acknowledges the most important thing supporting a real transition is M-O-N-E-Y. Without that, IMO, any transition strategy is dead in the water beyond a modicum of momentum.
The reason why we’re going so slow is because we are so focused on making money. I’ve been transparent about this from the beginning. Nothing is more important now that we have the solution mostly designed.
So while our website remains the same, for now, our internal dialogue is focused almost exclusively around a outreach design strategy that results in what we need most.
That’s our focus.
But we’re not so focused as not to be able to compliment a nice-looking website. Well done TVP!
